2023 GOALS ACHIEVED

Happy New Year! The Colleen Cares Organization is pleased to say, with help from our supporters, all of our 2023 Goals were accomplished and more. Here are the highlights:

• Raised over $35,000 and donated over $55,00 for Colleen’s favorite charities (Lurie Children’s Hospital, Red Ronald McDonald House Charities, Junior League of Chicago, Donate Life)

• Participated in community initiatives honoring Colleen including the Junior League of Chicago’s Colleen Gleason Community Spirit Award

• Volunteered at the Third Annual Ronald McDonald House Summer Camp Colleen (Chicago). This was expanded again this year and held at five Ronald McDonald Houses. We are grateful for the coordination with Project Linus for ‘hug blankets’

• Supported Red Shoe Society’s 5th annual Par-Tee at Top Golf

• Contributed over 100 wish list items ($2,000) towards Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Holiday Toy Drive in December

Because of you, we have continued the philanthropic mission of Colleen Marie Gleason (1992-2020), to always lend a helping hand and think of others’ needs with a special focus on pediatric heart transplants, research, and education.

With you, we have improved the community and helped children through donations to charities that were meaningful to Colleen.

Patients and families experiencing medical crises are being supported in many meaningful ways.
