Colleen Gleason Community Spirit Award

May 20, 2023

Every year the Junior League of Chicago (JLC) awards a member or members the Colleen Gleason Community Spirit Award in recognition of their passion for helping others representing JLC and making a difference in the Chicago community.

Congratulations to Amanda Decker, Alix Howland, Drea Jones and Jean Larkai, the committee chairs of the JLC ‘Done In A Day’ committee, who coordinated 110 community service events across Chicagoland in honor of the JLC’s 110th anniversary!

“We are extremely proud that Colleen was a part of this organization that helps women and children. It was our honor to be invited to the JLC annual meeting and present the award again this year. We felt Colleen’s presence and hope that she is proud of how we have continued her legacy. - Christine and Mike Gleason
