Camp Volunteers Make a Difference!

Spring is a time that we work with the Red Shoe Society Chicago to prepare the Chicagoland Ronald McDonald Houses (RMD) for the upcoming Camp Colleen 2024. This will be the fourth year, and five RMD Houses are participating. Come join us on Thursday, June 27 and create some vivid memories knowing you are providing a valuable service.

Volunteers will be provided with Camp Colleen t-shirts. We’ll provide the menu, table decorations and camp bags for the children. We need volunteers to prepare dinner at each of these four Houses:

• Central Dupage House, Winfield IL (3:30-6:30p)

• Comer House, Chicago IL (3:30-6:30p)

• Loyola House, Hines IL (3:30-6:30p)

• Advocate House, Oak Lawn IL (4:00-7:00p)

The Lurie House in Chicago is led by the Gleason family. They prepare lunch (9:15a-2p) and then host the camp activities (5:15-8p).

We understand if you are unable to physically volunteer with us this year. Your virtual support and generous donations in May/June support the Camp Colleen event with groceries to make meals, supplies for camp bags, various crafty activities, and ice cream that the children enjoy so much.
