Successful Fundraising for Colleen’s Beloved Red Shoe Society

Oct 17, 2021

Friends and family of Colleen combined fun with fundraising recently at Top Golf attending Red Shoe’s Annual Par-Tee on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Donations support the wonderful services offered by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicago to help families be near their hospitalized children.

As they say at Top Golf, every great time starts with play. If you’re not familiar with Top Golf, players hit micro-chipped golf balls that track each shot’s accuracy and distance while awarding points for hitting targets on the outfield. All age and ability ranges can enjoy the game together.

Colleen’s mother, Christine (pictured above in the red shoes), tells us more:

“A perfect day to support an excellent cause. Colleen was looking down on us all Sunday at the Par Tee Red Shoe fundraiser. We all had so much fun! A most grateful shout out to Ron and Lisa Ward for getting two bays! And a big shout out to all our family and friends that supported one of Colleen’s favorite causes. We are blessed to have you all in our lives. Keep checking Colleen Cares website! We are planning fun future fundraisers. I am so lucky to have so much support and so many friends and family that want to take part. Thank you all! So much genuine gratitude!”

The enthusiasm was echoed by many guests attending to support Red Shoe and Colleen Cares:

“It was a wonderful event. Everyone there--and not just for the Gleasons--every individual that was there was playing a part in such a great organization that’s doing so much good, only made the day that much better. It was hard not to have a fantastic time. Golfing was just a bonus.” –Christy Larkins

We are so inspired by the fun and success at Top Golf, that we are considering our future fundraising options. Stay tuned!
