Happy New Year! The Colleen Cares Organization is pleased to say, with help from our supporters, all of our 2024 Goals were accomplished. Here are the highlights:
Raised over $43,000 and donated over $17,000 for Colleen’s favorite charities (Red Shoe Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Project Linus, Junior League of Chicago)
Participated in community initiatives honoring Colleen including the Junior League of Chicago’s Colleen Gleason Community Spirit Award
Volunteered at the Fourth Annual Ronald McDonald House Summer Camp Colleen (Chicago). This was expanded again this year and held at five Ronald McDonald Houses. We are grateful for the coordination with Project Linus for ‘hug blankets’
Held our first annual Tea Party & Purses event
Contributed over 100 wish list items ($1,600) towards Lurie Children’s Hospital’s Holiday Toy Drive in December
With you, we have improved the community and helped children through donations to charities that were meaningful to Colleen.
